Remembering…
Everyone is home today which means I have a snowball’s chance of using the actual computer. So here I am, writing a blog post on my iPhone while making potato salad and ribs and supervising my sedated dog’s trip to the backyard.
Memorial Day…a day commemorating the loss of that which is most precious: life. Some life is lost and some is stolen, and some is given as the greatest and most noble gift to others.
I saw a headstone the other day with this inscription: “Here lies the body of so many hopes and dreams.” It was the grave of an eighteen year old boy.
May all babies be born into a world that cherishes them. May all the hopes and dreams of all come true. And may no parent mourn the loss of another child.
